Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet Classes in Campbell

A joyful first step into the world of dance

At the Academy of Classical Ballet (AOCBallet)-CA, we believe every great dancer begins with curiosity, imagination, and a love of movement. While we’re not a toddler-only studio, our Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet program offers a fun, age-appropriate introduction to classical ballet — thoughtfully designed to prepare preschool aged children for more formal training down the road.

A Gentle, Joyful Beginning

Our youngest dancers learn through stories, music, and imaginative games, all while laying the groundwork for healthy posture, coordination, and joy in movement. Classes are structured but never rigid — providing a safe and supportive environment where each child can explore at their own pace.

This program introduces the building blocks of classical ballet technique through playful, age-appropriate instruction. Each class is a blend of creativity and structure, gently guiding young dancers through the fundamentals of ballet and movement.

In a nurturing and non-competitive environment, students are free to explore movement at their own pace. These aren’t rigid classes — they’re joyful, structured experiences that introduce children to the art of ballet in a way that feels fun and inspiring.

What They’ll Learn:

  • Body Alignment & Basic Technique: Encouraging strong posture and foundational movement skills.

  • Musicality: Helping children connect with rhythm and express themselves through music.

  • Ballet Vocabulary: Introducing classic ballet positions and steps using storytelling and creative imagery to make concepts stick.

  • Confidence & Coordination: Supporting growth in both physical ability and self-esteem.

And beyond the steps and positions, this class nurtures important life skills — including creativity, focus, teamwork, and confidence — all within a nurturing and playful setting.
